Calling the Old Man Out: A lot of his character development in the first series stems from letting go of his resentment towards his father, Zeus, for being absent for much of his and his mother's lives and failing to prevent her death.
He also spends a significant amount of time angry at Zeus for not doing more to help him and his mother.
